Time to leave the path....
If you can follow a path or a trail - but now you want to head into the wilds - then this two day course is for you.
We'll recap the skills from our Into course but now we'll start to add in more complex skills;
- How to interpret contour features
- Add more complex compass skills - bearings & more
- Recognise & use complex features, gullies, spurs, re-entrants
- Develop your use of pacing & timing
- Work on more complex strategies such as aiming off, contouring, boxing & more.
- Poor visibility navigation
- look at emergency situations
The course starts with coffee and a chat - but we're soon out onto the fell. We aim for a no pressure positive learning environment - we want you to have fun over these two days - to grow in confidence & to really start to be able to make your own routes in the mountains..
