Taking your first steps with map & compass
If you want to develop the skills to use a map & compass - to be able to get yourself from A to B - but it's completely new to you - then this is the course we recommend.
Our one day beginners course will show you the basics;
- How to orientate the map
- what the symbols, lines and colours mean
- How to recognise basic map features
- How to use the compass
- & how to put the two together
The course starts with coffee and a chat - but we soon head out the door and start working out how to plan a route and follow it - you'll finish the day a lot more confident that you began - and ready to start your own adventure.
