Helvellyn's Edges
One of the finest mountain walks that the Lake District has to offer.
Striding Edge & Swirral Edge are rightly famous - this airy route up onto the Lake District's third highest mountain (950m) is both challenging and glorious. On a clear day the far reaching view n every direction take some beating - and the edge itself looks implausible.
This is a challenging day out - and not for novices. Those with a good head for heights and some mountain walking experience will get the most from this day out. Novices wishing to challenge themselves or maybe learn some skills should book a Bespoke Day.
We'll start from Glenridding at 09:30 and should be back by 16:30 - in time to support the local businesses with coffee & a cake.
