SUMMARY:More Loving Lichens! (03-03-22)
DESCRIPTION:This is an all new for 22 workshop! \nWe’ll still work on building an foundation knowledge of this tiny wonders of nature – but different venue\, different habitat\, different lichens! \nWhether you’ve been on a Loving Lichens workshop before or not this workshop will teach and develop an understanding of ecosystems\, the role lichens lay in them & a methodology of how to identify some common (& potentially rare) lichens found in the wilder parts of the UK. \nThe workshop will take the form of a 3 hour wander into nature. As ever this is a very ‘hands on’ workshop and is reactive to the participants – so we’ll be adapting to weather\, knowledge levels and what we can find on the day.

SUMMARY:Night Nav Ninjas 07-01-2022
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is a little different this year – a fun competition\, with fun prizes. \nYou’ll need to be super accurate with your pacing…but\, and you’ll know this having attended the prior sessions\, you’ll also need to be able to utilise other strategies and different skills. \nThis will be a minimum of assessment level navigation – but each leg will have learning lessons involved. \nThe session will be in the East of Cumbria with relatively easy access from the M6 – the final location will be confirmed in the prior week. \nI’m restricting access to this session – so if you’re interested drop me a line first as priority will be given to anyone who has attended a previous Mountain Services Night Navigation Session. \nThis session is free for MTA Members.
