Pacing Card

A vital skill for navigation is being able to know how far you've gone - whilst this should eventually become second nature a pacing which helps you convert distance to time is an invaluable tool.

You will need to fill in your own number of paces that equate to 100m.

I normally find I'm comfortable at 4km/h on my own, and 3km/h with groups, you'll need to assess where you are.

I've a First Aid reminder on the reverse.

As with all of our resources that are intended for the hill - we'd recommend you print them on ToughPrint paper

Insurance

If you're starting to head into the hills then you might well want to think about insurance. If you're an MTA or BMC member then you'll have 3rd party liability insurance included - but that doesn't cover you. You can find more info in this post, but whilst many providers are available we recommend BMC Insurance - its good, and its easy to understand.
