So you want to be a Jedi....
If you're ready for this session then you're already OK with a map and compass in the dark - you'll know where you are most of the time. But its time to start knowing exactly where you are!
This course will go to micro features in the dark whatever the conditions. We'll look at ways to maximise accuracy and to be able to relocate. This will be as close to assessment level navigation as we can make it - just without the stress!
You'll work on:
- Complex strategies to get to a precise point.
- Ways to confirm location
- How to navigate in featureless terrain
- Develop your use of pacing & timing in difficult conditions
- Work on more complex strategies such aspect of slope, resections, leap-frogging & more
We aim for a no pressure positive learning environment - but this session is ideal preparation for anyone looking to complete an assessed course.
