Various First Aid Videos

On our first aid courses we use a range of teaching styles and scenarios - and we endeavour to make them as realistic as they can be - however some things are just not possible - and for those we've a selection of training videos of "the real thing". This is a selection.

Cardiac Arrest Video

This show the reality of fast intervention and the Chain of Survival concept - but it also shows the reality of how physical CPR can need to be.

Please remember - NEVER practice CPR on a living person.

Agonal Breathing

It's important to recognise what normal breathing looks like when you are assessing a casualty. In 40% of pre-hospital cardiac arrests agonal breathing is present. This video shows a casualty requiring defibrillation - but appearing to breath.

note - ignore the CPR technique as (a) it's a different country & (b) it's a ten year old video

Hypothermia

Outdoor First Aid steps well away from the safety of a course run in an office or factory - we need to know how to deal with environmental factors that can mean quite literally life or death.

If you work or play outdoors then you'll have had days when you've been really cold. If you don't recognise the symptoms - and know how to address them - then hypothermia can set in surprisingly fast.
